I’ve been pretty well off the grid recently, but today is a special one. On this day two years ago, Quartz was surprise Beyoncé’d out into the world and began the deadchannel_Trilogy of Quartz, Copper, and Obsidian. These albums are incredibly special to me, and releasing THREE full albums in such a short amount of time in addition to some film/tv/video game stuff, was wild! Though there are a few “fun” songs thrown in throughout, writing the Trilogy was a way to deal with some heavy grief after my mom’s passing. Sonically, Quartz is meant to sound like a compilation of cyberpunk radness that would be playing in a car on the way home from Blockbuster Video in 1996 after renting ‘Split Second’ for the 100th time. Listen to Quartz here: https://bluestahli.ffm.to/quartz.owe And if you’ve already listened to Quartz, I cannot thank you enough for giving it a spin. And just in general, THANK YOU so incredibly much for listening to Blue Stahli and sticking with this weirdness. You are damn amazing!
